How to get here

By plane

You have the possibility to reach the Ticino by plane. The Lugano-Agno airport and Darwin Airlines guarantee a first class service. A service, which has also convinced our national football team and they book Darwin Airlines for all their flight journeys . Lugano-Agno is accessible from every international airport worldwide, with direct flights or with connecting flights.

By car

The Lago Maggiore region can easily be reached by car: from the south, on the motorway trough the northern Italian lake district, from Milan to the Swiss border at Chiasso-Brogeda and further following the motorway A2 direction north, following the signposting "Gottardo" and passing the towns Mendrisio, Lugano, Bellinzona (cross road to Locarno and lake Maggiore) up to Airolo. Arriving from the north, follow the motorway A2 to Bellinzona (exit Bellinzona south, following the signposting for Locarno and Lago Maggiore). From the north also passing the Sempione pass road, following the E62 to Domodossola, and then following the indications for Locarno and the SS337 (Valle Vigezzo). The Ticino roads are very safe and up to date.

By train

From northern Europe and the northern and western parts of Switzerland the Lago Maggiore region can be reached by using the international railway line Basel-Milano, with the direct trains Intercity and Cisalpino. If there are no direct connections available, it is necessary to change trains at Bellinzona for direction Locarno. From Domodossola, following the international Simplon-line, the narrow gauge train "Centovalli" offers a particularly romantic journey. With the railway line from Milano-Centrale via Como there are connections to the Ticino from every part of Mediterranean Europe with the Intercity trains as well as the fast train Cisalpino.
